Welcome to the “Travel Sensate” VELANKANNI PILGIRMAGE TOUR.
- Velankanni is a small town in Tamil Nadu, India, renowned for the Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health. It is one of the most important Christian pilgrimage centers in India. The town has several notable churches, including the Velankanni Church, Holy Rosary Church, and Morning Star Church. Velankanni is famous for the miracles associated with the Virgin Mary, and devotees visit to offer prayers, seek blessings, and experience the peaceful and piritual atmosphere of this holy town.
- c. 1570 – A shepherd boy’s milk pot remained full after giving milk to a mysterious woman and child at a water tank, leading to the first shrine at Matha Kulam (Our Lady’s Tank).
- 1597 – A lame boy selling buttermilk was miraculously healed after an apparition, prompting the construction of a small chapel at Velankanni.
- 17th century – Portuguese sailors caught in a storm prayed to the Virgin Mary and were saved; they later helped expand the shrine.
- Highland Park- Highland Park Baku is a popular attraction located in the capital of Azerbaijan. From its highest point, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the city and bay. Both locals and tourists come to the park to appreciate the view, take a stroll, or simply relax.
- These miracles made Velankanni one of India’s most important Christian pilgrimage centers.

- A company representative will meet you at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
- After completing immigration formalities, you will be transferred to the Chennai.
- Begin your spiritual journey and visit the sacred shrines of this holy town.
Day 01
– MARY LAND SUITES| SIMILAR – LUNCH | DINNER
- Arrive at Chennai Airport and complete immigration formalities.
- Travel to Velankanni (approx. 330 km / 7–8 hours by road), stopping for lunch en route.
- Upon arrival in Velankanni, check in at the hotel.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02
– MARY LAND SUITES | SIMILAR – BREAKFAST | LUNCH | DINNER
- Start the day with breakfast at the hotel.
- Attend the English Mass at Velankanni Church at 10:00 AM, followed by time for personal spiritual activities.
- Lunch will be served at the hotel around 1:00 PM.
- Spend the afternoon and evening at your leisure for prayers and other religious activities.
- You can join the Rosary at Morning Star Church at 4:00 PM.
- Conclude the day with dinner at the hotel.
Day 03
– BREAKFAST | LUNCH | DINNER
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Free day for leisure.
- Attend the English Mass at Velankanni Church at 10:00 AM, followed by time for personal spiritual activities.
- Lunch will be served at the hotel around 1:00 PM.
- Spend the afternoon and evening at your leisure for prayers and other religious activities.
- Check out from the hotel at 6:45 PM.
- Have your dinner at the hotel.
- Transfer to Chennai at 9:00 PM (Night travel).
Day 04
– PANDIAN | SIMILAR – BREAKFAST | DINNER
- Arrive at Chennai early in the morning around 4:00 AM.
- Check in at the hotel and have some rest.
- Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
- Start the city tour at 9:00 AM to visit Little Mount, St. Thomas Mount, and Santhome Basilica, engaging in religious activities: * Little Mount – A small hill where St. Thomas, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus, is believed to have prayed and lived. It is a peaceful place for reflection and prayer.
- Visiting Haydar Aliyev Centre (photoshoot).
- Then, proceed to T-Nagar for shopping at Saravana Stores and some leisure time (drop only).
- Dinner at the hotel.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
* St. Thomas Mount – A hillock where St. Thomas was martyred, with a beautiful chapel on top and panoramic views of Chennai.
* Santhome Basilica – A historic church built over the tomb of St.Thomas, famous for its Gothic architecture and spiritual significance.
Day 05
– PANDIAN | SIMILAR – BREAKFAST | DINNER
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Free time for leisure and shopping.
- Dinner at the hotel.
- Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06
- Early morning check-out from the hotel.
- Transfer to the airport for your departure.
- Depart for Colombo.

- Air fare subject to seat availability 50% of the Payment is required at the time of booking & the remaining amount of the payment should be paid 03 weeks before departure.
- In case of late payments, the payment may be subject to a late payment fee of 5% to 10% depending on the date of payment.
- The company reserves the right to amend or change the itinerary schedules depending on the circumstances of the respective tours.
- The tour package is not included with a travel insurance policy and it is the responsibility of each individual to obtain an insurance policy if required.
